      2. Following up from June 9 meeting, committee looked at the relationship between what we pay and what the Sangha does and at the model we are using: “pay as you go.”
        1. Discussed thinking about the contribution as a commitment to support the Sangha and what it provides
        2. Various models for annual fee looked at
        3. Everyone at meeting supports the idea of an annual fee increase that actually pays for the Sangha and what it provides.
          1. Milton offered that if fifteen people paid $480 a year the expenses would be covered but he wasn’t ready to commit to that figure and asked for more time to work on the details.
          2. Val asked if everyone could afford it and went around the room. All agreed a monthly contribution of $40 was feasible. Val offered to phone the people who were not present to ask them if that amount was doable.
          3. Masako asked that the committee meet again and create some models that the Sangha could look at and decide how to proceed. A lower annual fee needs to be looked at as well for those who are unable to support at a higher level of payment.
          4. All were in favor of looking at a way to shift from a “pay as you go” model
          5. Finance committee to look at more details and come back to the Sangha with some strategies.
          6. Jeff to send a proposal out by email to Sangha to get a sense of who would commit and to begin a discussion with those who were not at annual meeting
